Yuvalok Foundation News – Advent 2017

Update from my good friend Sam:

Yuvalok 2017
YuvaLok School, Mid-day Meals

Dear Friends,

We cannot thank you enough for your prayers of blessing and for your support! It is a joy to write to you again and share recent happenings at YuvaLok.

Appointment of Ms Reena George as Principal for YuvaLok Hennur School
Reena comes to us with 18 years of experience as head teacher. With a keen understanding of what it means to lead a successful school she is determined to implement it at Yuvalok. And to complement her appointment, almost by design, YuvaLok entered into a partnership with PiXL (UK). I believe that God in His love desires that every boy and girl to grow up with the best of care and education, and that’s why this partnership is perfectly God-timed.

PiXL (Partners in Excellence) is a non-profit partnership of over 1700 schools in the United Kingdom. Their object is to raise standards and to give students a brighter hope for the future. PiXL provides a wealth of classroom strategies and resources, and brings school leaders and specialists together at regular conferences to share ideas and support. Our thanks to Paul Hammond, Regional Director for Asia, who has gone all out to ensure the success of this partnership. YuvaLok is proud to be part of this supportive network where we hope the students will benefit the most. The plan is to include all the YuvaLok Schools situated in the economically poorer communities in urban and rural neighborhoods. YuvaLok is committed to set high academic standards, and strengthen communities by being responsive to our students’ strengths and needs.

Excitement in the air with the Advent Season!
When the Advent season begins, children are excited about the gifts they will receive, and adults wonder what gifts to give. As in the past our plan is to presents Christmas gifts to 1500 kids and staff members in our schools. We are thankful to the Sunday School children of Bangalore International Christian Fellowship for the 150 gift boxes they will distribute, along with their parents, at our school on 16th December. We trust the Lord will provide for the other 1350 kids, and staff members, too.

I’d love to hear from you.

Warmly,
Sam Rajshekhar
