Bhutan – new Global Data Centre location?

With power 25% the cost of India, and next to zero outages compared to Bangalore’s 20% downtime, why not?

Me thinks you may underestimate the number of outages in Bangalore! I believe that now DCS Bhutan is established, we have paved the way for more rapid growth, having cleared the pathway and learned lessons from the “challenges” of building in Bhutan. Established modular and containerised building techniques will allow DCS to realistically supply 200-400 racks in Tier 3 environments in 10-12 months. The advantages of very cheap green power, as well as advancing remote monitoring technologies will firmly establish Bhutan, and in particular Thimpu as a challenge to regional and global DC sites.
