Shortfall in quantum of labour is well known. However, I wasn’t aware of the productivity issue until I was informed yesterday by a senior executive in the construction industry that RC carpenters are delivering less than 30% of the productivity compared to a decade ago.
Solution? More training, more automation, prefabrication, standardisation etc..
